IML literally means In Mould Labeling. A label, printed on an unsupported synthetic film (generally PP), is placed inside a mould by means of a moulding robot, normally using an injection moulding system. During injection the label melts onto the material of the container. This technology has found many applications and uses on a wide range of containers, such as foodstuff cups (ice-cream, margarine, cheese) or industrial applications
