GLOBAL LABEL AWARD 2010 FOR CONTINUOUS INNOVATION

OMET wins the ‘Global Label Award for continuous innovation' at Labelexpo Americas 2010OMET wins the ‘Global Label Award for continuous innovation' at Labelexpo Americas 2010; the Award is promoted by Tarsus, the company that also organises the global series of Labelexpo shows, and also publishes Labels & Labeling, the most widely read important magazine in the label world.
OMET was chosen from a wide selection of participating companies after careful analysis of strict requirements: the innovation capacity of the company; its significant contribution to the sector of technological development; the company ethics; experience; and the attention to staff training. The decision was made by a jury composed of experts, guided by John Hockey (former President of the American Association TLMI) along with Andy Thomas (Editor of Labels and Labeling magazine), Tony White (Joint-Editor of NarroWebTech magazine), Jack Kenny (Editor Labels & Narrow Web magazine) and Andrea Vimercati (President of the European Association FINAT).


FTA INNOVATION AWARD 2008

OMET has received the prize “FTA Innovation Award 2008” in Dallas thanks to the new X-Flex line. In particular, the judges were amazed with the maximum production flexibility and efficiency.
The press, which allows using multiple print typologies, processes substrates of different thicknesses and provides for a remarkable reduction of setup times and waste.
Its innovative capacity is also linked to the presence of the pre-register and machine automatic control system Vision .

AFTA AWARD 2007

Hubei Three Golden Gorges Printing Co, an Asian customer of OMET's, won the Gold Award for the entry “Narrow Web-Paper (Color)”, at the AFTA Print Award 2007, the most prestigious prize in the sector of flexographic print on packaging. The company leading the cigarette packaging sector obtained the award using the in-line VaryFlex. The awarded product was a “soft-pack” of Chinese tobacco made combining very complex special processes on the OMET Super-VaryFlex lines provided with silk-screen, flexo, hot-foil units and hologram application.
The prize represents an award to the constant commitment in research, which has always been a feature characterising OMET, and constitutes a tangible sign of the value of the investment in Asia, where the firm is present with a branch company and a showroom in Shangai.

LABEL INDUSTRY GLOBAL AWARD 2007

The jury of the prestigious prize “Label Industry Global Award” selected OMET's president and founder, Angelo Bartesaghi, among the six finalist enterprisers at the edition 2007, entry “Lifetime Achievement Award 2007”.
Thanks to this result OMET is recognised playing a fundamental role in the industrial evolution in this branch, with solutions distinguishing themselves for innovation, flexibility, technology and easy use.
This new prize is namely aimed at awarding worldwide enterprisers that give a contribution with their company's activity to the development of labels on an international level.

AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE 2007

OMET was selected among the Italian enterprises on the basis of an analysis of structural indicators for innovation generation (investments, patents, human capital) and the results of innovative activity (both concerning research and development and competitive and economic performance).
This prize, promoted by Confindustria, represents a prestigious award to the enterprises distinguishing themselves for their capacity of promoting the "Made in Italy", for being a reference for the territory or, even more, for the capacity of development and upgrading innovation.
OMET's presence among the selected finalists constitutes an important sign of the commitment which has always been distinguishing the company in supplying innovative solutions to suit the need of a more and more complex demand.

TABACCO AWARD 2007

The prize that every year crowns the best print machine for the tobacco industry was given to OMET's Varyflex. The version that made OMET winning the award is full equipped with accessories: 10 print units, 2 in-line die-cutting stations and the possibility to interchange the flexographic units with rotogravure or silk-screen units, which can be inserted in-line in the print sequence.
In a sector like graphic industry, where top flexibility and high quality are key, a machine shall be able to be widened or changed each time it is needed.
Omet's VaryFlex has been able to distinguish itself from the competition exactly for its extraordinary plus offer: flexo print with UV inks, water, solvent and relevant curing systems; silk-screen, print units, rotogravure, hot foil, cold foil; reverse print, ink-jet print; changeable print formats; fly cutting unit; vision system.
Moreover, the possibility offered by OMET to make the products unique and difficultly imitable - thanks to the use of holograms directly in the print phase - was decisive in order to win the prize.
